2026 Call for Applications
Innaugurated in partnership between the BC Paralegal Association and Appara
The BC Paralegal Association is proud to introduce the BCPA Excellence Awards, a province-wide program recognizing the members who make our profession what it is — from students and emerging paralegals entering the field to the paralegals whose careers and contributions help define it.
The Awards are open exclusively to current BCPA members and are intended to become a lasting part of the Association’s annual calendar.
As the founding partner and sponsor of the inaugural Awards, Appara is helping bring this program to life and supporting the recognition of excellence within the BC paralegal profession.
KEY DATES
- Applications Open: September 4, 2026
- Application Deadline: October 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific
- Shortlist Announced: Date to be confirmed
- Winners Announced: November 18, 2026 at the BCPA Winter Event
AWARD CATEGORIES
- Future of the Profession Award — $750.00
For students currently in a paralegal program or paralegals with fewer than three years in the industry.
- BCPA Paralegal of the Year — $1,000.00
Recognizing a BCPA member whose work, contributions, growth, and support of the profession demonstrate excellence in paralegal practice.
